ABOUT COURSE

Course 1. Financial Accounting 

Basic financial statements: Income statement, balance sheet, statement of owners’ equity and statement of cash flows, The accounting cycle, Accruals and deferrals, Reporting financial results, Merchandising activities, The Inventory and the cost of goods sold, Depreciation of plant and intangible assets, Financial analysis of financial statements, Statement of cash flows, Costing & pricing, Operational budgeting.

Course 2. Financial Reporting

The conceptual framework, tangible non-current assets, intangible assets, impairment of assets, revenue, introduction to groups, the consolidated statement of financial position, the consolidated statement of profit or loss and other comprehensive income, accounting for associates, financial instruments, leasing, provisions and events after the reporting dates, presentation of published financial statements, reporting financial performance, earnings per share, calculation and interpretation techniques, statement of cash flows, accounting for inflation and specialized, non-for-profit and public sector entities.

Course 3. Auditing & Assurance

Audit and assurance engagements, statutory audit and regulation, corporate governance, professional ethics and quality control procedures, internal audit, risk assessment, audit planning and documentation, introduction to audit evidence, internal control, test of controls, audit procedures and sampling, audit evidence, audit review and finalization and reports.

Course 4. Financial Management

Financial management & financial objectives, the economic environment for business, financial markets, money markets and institutions, working capital, managing working capital, working capital finance, investment decisions, investment appraisal using DCF techniques, allowing for taxation and inflation, project appraisal and risk, specific investment decisions, sources of finance, dividend policy, the cost of capital, gearing and capital structure, capital structure, business valuations, market efficiency, foreign currency risk and interest rate risk.

Contract Act; Sales of Good Act; Factory Act; Anti-Corruption/ NAB/ Anti-Terrorism Laws; Arbitration Act; Consumer Protection Laws; Corporate Laws; Cyber Crimes; Income Tax Laws; Labor Laws; Sales Tax and Federal Excise Laws; Trade Marks, Copyrights, Intellectual Property Laws; Monopolies and Restrictive Trade Practices (Control and Prevention) Ordinance (MRTPO); Environmental Laws.
