Module 1: Foundations of Visual Storytelling (Photography)
1. Week 1-2: Introduction to Photography  History of photography  Understanding camera types and functions  Basic composition techniques
1. Week 3-4: Fundamentals of Light and Exposure  Natural and artificial lighting  Exposure triangle: Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO  White balance and color temperature
1. Week 5-6: Composition and Visual Elements  Rule of thirds  Framing and leading lines  Elements of design

Assignment 1: Photo Essay  Students will create a photo essay incorporating the concepts learned in the first module.

Module 2: Advanced Techniques in Photography
1. Week 1-2: Portrait Photography  Posing and directing subjects  Lighting techniques for portraits  Environmental portraiture
1. Week 3-4: Landscape and Architecture Photography  Capturing landscapes and cityscapes  Composition in outdoor photography  Use of filters and tripods
1. Week 5-6: Image Editing and Post-Processing  Introduction to Adobe Lightroom  Basic retouching and color correction  Non-destructive editing techniques

Assignment 2: Portfolio Development  Students will curate a portfolio showcasing their best works, applying advanced techniques.

Module 3: Specialized Photography Genres

1. Week 3-4: Event and Documentary Photography  Capturing candid moments  Storytelling through event photography  Ethics and responsibilities in documentary work

Assignment 3: Specialized Photo Project  Students will choose a specialized genre and create a project highlighting their creativity and skills

Module 4: Introduction to Videography

1. Week 3-4: Composition and Visual Storytelling in Videos  Translating photography composition into videography  Shot types and framing in videos  Creating a visual narrative

Assignment 4: Short Film  Students will collaborate to create a short film, incorporating the principles learned in the videography module.

Module 5: Advanced Videography Techniques

1. Week 3-4: Client Relations and Project Management  Working with clients and understanding their needs  Project planning and execution  Time management and deadlines
1. Week 5-6: Final Project and Exhibition  Students will conceptualize, plan, and execute a final project that showcases their combined skills in photography and videography.

Assignment 6: Final Project Presentation  Students will present their final projects to a panel, demonstrating their proficiency in both photography and videography. This detailed diploma program provides a comprehensive understanding of both photography and videography, ensuring that students graduate with a strong portfolio and the skills needed for a successful career in visual storytelling
